Flash project

During this week, our team have finish some part of project about Flavor Company. We add flower's catalogues to our flash. Now, the project has just 20% left. Hope, finish it as soon as possible.

Demo

This one is flash demo for Our project. We have problems with preloading. I think this file is too small size to load, so the preloading loads so fast :D. And 1 more problem about contact form. We don't know how to save a form file to database when the customer clicks on Submit button. However, we are fixing it up.

week 8 (prepare and start)

In this week, Yong Hee (Information Architect) and Thinh (Visual Designer) continue their task that research about technics and start for website. About me task in this week is cut flowers and flower baskets from background. Cut flowers and flower basket from background are very difficult. I have spent a lot of time for that. When all backgrounds are cut, I will sent flowers and flower basket photographs to Thinh for editting them.

Arrangement

As i posted my individual blog...

this page is the page which user can arrange flowers in their own way...

in the left side...there will be some flowers which are buttons, and the right side,...

there will be a box, base..etc..(whatever can put flowers)

for this page...we need to make 3 flash files-flowers, main, and menu...

with action sctipt...

in main page...need to use "loadMovie" action script..

using for loop and attachMovie script in the menu page the chosen flower will appear in the main page.

also...with for loop, we can choose the location of flowers....

Proposal

I- Concept Outline:

1- Introduce about the kinds of flower that popular and strange to customer.
2- Introduce about the kinds of flowers (according to occasion) that helps customer to choose the suitable flowers.
3- Provide the prices of flower to customers that help them to buy easily.
4- Provide beautiful photos about flowers.
5- Provide online selling.
6- Beside bunches of flowers that are available in our shop, we also allow customer to choose and arrange flowers.

II- Synopsis

Gifts are very necessary for the occasions such as birthday, valentine and so on. There are a lot of kinds of gift. Flower is one that very popular. Therefore, we provide a website that solves customer’s problem and helps customers buy flowers easily and quickly. Firstly, every flower and flower’s arrangement have different meanings. For example, red rose represent for “I love you” or Silk Velvet represent for “I really like you” and so on. Therefore, people need to know which flowers are suitable. For solution, our website dive flowers according to occasions that help customers to choose the suitable flowers easily.
Secondly, Taking and giving a gift also have some difficulties. For example, in some cases such as living, working very far and so on, senders are difficult to take flower to receivers. Our website allows customers to order flowers (online selling) and help them to take flowers to receivers. Thirdly, the price of flowers is very important. As a result, in this web site, we also provide the flower’s price that helps customer buy easily. Especially, our website allow customer to arrange flowers by themselves. Finally, viewer can find beautiful photographs about the kinds of flower.

III- Aims (Target Audiences):

Customer: introduce about kinds of flower, allow customer to choose and arrange flowers, the price to customer and so on.
Viewers who love flowers: show beautiful photos about flowers.
Viewers who want to know about which flowers that is suitable with occasions (birthday, valentine, and so on).

IV- Look and Feel/Stylistic Approach

Our webpage includes 4 main pages: Home, Product, About Us and Contact Us. The dark red color is chosen for the background with the purpose of making the elements in page outstanding and each page has a flower which is represented for itself. Because our webpage is about flowers shop, so we choose flower type is main emphasis. In the navigation, every flower is particular note for a button. And appropriating to 4 pages are 4 small pieces of flowers.

We set the structure for the page like the character X. It means we have texts at the top left and bottom right of page, oppositely an image at the bottom left with navigation at the right top.

In the field of header, we mark a word which is represented for its page. For example, viewers are at the home page, they will see the word Home and the line with red color. If they are at the Products page they will see the word Products with yellow color. We choose the color font is as same as color of flower.

We choose 2 San-Serif fonts for our webpage. These are Bimini and Verdana. We set Bimini font for each section title and navigation. Text area will be set by Verdana font and both of tow fonts are easy to read.

Sound is the one of most important things of webpage. We choose a gentle piano sound. It will bring a soft melody to viewers and settle down their souls. Moreover, Users can turn off sound if they want.

The webpage will be done by Flash, so we set some animations and add sound in the global buttons. When users click on buttons, they will interact and receive feedbacks from them.

This project requires many skills such as Photoshop, Flash and so on. It does not require a lot of resources. Therefore, we only need five kinds of resource. Now, all of them are available.

Technical Specification:

Our project is flash web that is advertisement and selling flower. There are a lot of technique issues that are required such as Photoshop skill, flash skill and so on.
For advertisement about flowers, we will go to the flower shop and take the photos. Therefore, taking the photos is the first task. Secondly, to make photos are more beautiful, we will need Photoshop. Thirdly, flowers will show in Flash. Hence, Flash MX will be used in our project. Moreover, our project is not only advertising and sell flower but also introduce about meaning of flowers that helps customer to choose the suitable flower. Therefore, we need to search about meaning of flowers. Furthermore, we need to use Dream-weaver for our project.
